Agree. Not watching TV does not make you a saint. Watching TV doesn’t make you a mindless idiot.
That said, I don’t own a TV and even when I did, it was almost never on for the last year I had it. I do think watching TV is a waste of time, but that’s for me personally. We are in no position to judge others for their consumption of TV, internet, etc.
I particularly identify with Corbett’s thought that spending too much time on the internet can be just as bad. The only difference is that when I’m on the internet, I’m usually reading or writing. Feels a little more interactive than TV, but maybe I’m fooling myself. Who knows?
